‘New Beginnings’ was the theme for the school and Class 5 encouraging us to try new things and rise to the many challenges that face us throughout the year. In History we are looking at the changes in the last half of the 20 th Century. Eg What do you think was the most important or significant invention or discovery that had the most profound effect in the last fifty years? We had an interesting and profound discussion ranging from medicine to computers, from transport to the internet, what do you think? We are further developing our Desk Top Publishing skills in ICT. Establishing healthy life styles in Science. Reading novels and stories with contemporary settings, play scripts and concrete poetry (no its not set in stone!). We are hoping to continue our visits to Manningtree School to take part in many sporting activities. On top of all that hard work we hope to have some fun too.
