| Dear Parents,
Should we have awful weather over the Christmas and New Year break
I thought that it was worthwhile letting you know about what we
do in case the weather is still inclement when we return to school.
We aim to always be open if at all possible. If
the weather was so severe that the staff couldn’t get in
to school and we had to close the school, I would notify the local
radio station. So, please listen to Essex Radio or SGR Colchester
and or SGR Ipswich. If our school’s name doesn’t appear
we’ll be open.
I have recently been asked what the school’s policy is on
when children wear boots of any kind to school. If your child needs
to wear boots to school they will need to bring their school shoes
to change into. Could I please suggest that should your child wear
boots to school, that the boots are clearly labelled with your
child’s name and that they bring a peg or a bag to keep the
boots safe.
Many thanks for your help in this matter.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs H Tetchner
